This week the blue group in maths held a statistical experiment to find out which plane flew the best out of the delta and the canard. We talked about how many different ways we could throw the plane that would effect how well it flew. We then went outside and gave them lots of test flights based on how well we could throw them. We then measured the distaces in meters and gathered all our information on excel.
Looking at the data we couldn’t decide what was the better plane so we graphed the information.
The first line graph was hard to read because there was so much information on it, so we worked out the average distances, then graphed that information.
As you can see the best plane was the canar and the best way to throw it to get the most distance was softly upwards.
